What does COBRA do?
COBRA provides certain former employees, retirees, spouses, former spouses, and dependent children the right to temporary continuation of health coverage at group rates. This coverage, however, is only available when coverage is lost due to certain specific events. Group health coverage for COBRA participants is usually more expensive than health coverage for active employees, since usually the employer pays a part of the premium for active employees while COBRA participants generally pay the entire premium themselves. It is ordinarily less expensive, though, than individual health coverage.


Cobra Dental Insurance

Looking for information on Cobra dental insurance? First of all, Cobra is not a company, it is a law that allows you to keep your group coverage (under some circumstances). If you lost your dental coverage through your previous employer, you may be eligible for cobra coverage. You will typically have 60 days to decide if you would like to keep your dental coverage under Cobra.

What will my cost be?
You will be responsible for 100% of the premium as your previous employer will no longer be required to contribute to the premium. The administrator can also add a service fee of up to 2%.
